The March 2016 storm Benbrook remembers
Before dawn on March 17, 2016, a supercell dropped hail up to 2.25 inches across northern Benbrook, including along Camp Bowie Boulevard and near the Benbrook traffic circle. NOAA put Benbrook's property damage from that storm at about $50 million. More recently, NOAA storm reports listed baseball-size hail across Westland, Aledo and Benbrook on April 25, 2026.
